Lavazza is renewing its BLUE assortment, aligning with the successful Tales of Italy bean collection introduced in early 2024. With four new capsules inspired by Italian coffee culture, Lavazza caters to the taste preferences of today’s coffee drinker: fresher, fruitier aromas while maintaining intensity, quality, and character.
These new capsules will replace the current Lavazza BLUE Classic Specials range. Some variants are being replaced immediately, while others will follow in the coming weeks. We understand that change can take some getting used to, but we hope you’ll be just as excited about these contemporary flavours. The blends are carefully selected to stay as close as possible to the familiar experience, with a touch of modernity.
The new capsules are available for both single and double servings, just like you’re used to.
Replaces: Gran Espresso Dark Roast
A bold blend of 20% Arabica and 80% Robusta. Dark roasted, with an intense finish and notes of cocoa and smoked wood. A distinct espresso for those who love a strong flavour experience. Good news: only the packaging changes the blend remains exactly the same.
Replaces: Top Class
A harmonious mix of 50% Arabica and 50% Robusta, partly fermented. This medium roast espresso features notes of chocolate and hazelnut, with a profile that closely resembles Top Class: familiar yet refreshed.
Replaces: Gold Selection
A balanced espresso with notes of chocolate and almonds. The Arabica/Robusta ratio remains the same, with part of the Robusta replaced by a fermented variant. Medium roasted for a fresh, modern tone.
New in the assortment
This unique 100% Arabica blend is not intended as a direct replacement but as a modern addition to the range. Lightly roasted with fruity, floral, and sweeter notes, and less bitterness. Moreover, this blend is RFA certified – good for you and good for the planet.
The Classic Specials capsules will gradually be replaced by the new Tales of Italy collection. The transition begins with Top Class, followed by Gold Selection and finally Gran Espresso Dark Roast. Once a blend is replaced, the new capsule will automatically appear in your order list.
